Who are we?
The Association of Franco-Chinese Cultural Weavings (ATCFC) is a non-profit association founded in January 2025 in Saint-Louis, Alsace. It was born from the conviction that textile — one of the oldest and most universal expressions of human ingenuity — can serve as a living bridge between two great cultures: France and China.
Our vision
We believe that textile expertise — whether ancestral or driven by innovation — is a powerful vehicle for dialogue between peoples. By bringing together craftspeople, designers, industrialists, historians, students and culture enthusiasts, ATCFC aspires to build lasting and enriching exchanges between France and China, beyond borders and differences.
Textile lies at the heart of both nations’ cultural identity: it represents centuries of artistic know-how and commercial exchange, and remains a major economic sector today. ATCFC aims to promote this shared heritage while contributing to its future influence.
